Rick R. Newcomer, age 56 of Marion, OH, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on August 1, 1958 in Ashland, Ohio to Ron Newcomer of Ashland, Ohio, and Norma (Eggerton) Boyd of Lexington, Ohio both of whom survive, as well as his step-mother, Barb Newcomer and step-father, Mitch Boyd.
Rick enjoyed auto racing and soccer and was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was also a US Air Force veteran.
Besides his parents, Rick also leaves behind a daughter, Crystal (Jason) Decker of Columbus, Ohio, a son, Ryan Newcomer of Columbus, Ohio, sister, Tammy Boyd of Lexington, Ohio, half-sister, Teresa (Randy) Mansell of Texas, step-sister, Dianne (Rick) Sanders of Kentucky, a half-brother Rod (Tyra) Newcomer of Texas, and an unlce, Joe Newcomer.
Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Neal and Florence Eggerton, and Russell and Helen Newcomer.
There will be a memorial service on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 7PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kathy Laird. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday for 2 hours prior to the service from 5-7PM.
