Thomas D. Lehman, Sr., age 67 of Marion, Ohio, passed away February 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family after a seven month courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was born February 7, 1948 to the late Howard Lehman and Naomi (Darnell) White who survives.
Tom is survived by his wife Brenda (Johnson) Lehman of Marion, Ohio and they spent twenty-six great years together.
Tom also leaves behind three children; Thomas (Kristen) Lehman, Jr. of Roseville, Kansas, Bernard Lehman, Sr. of Prospect, Ohio, Tina Lehman of Marion, Ohio, ten grandchildren; Courtney Lehman, Dillon Elswick, Michael, Brandon, Katelynn and Megan Sisson, Bernard Lehman, Jr., Zachery Sisson, and Sarah and Caleb Lehman. Three sisters also survive; Nancy Higgins and Joyce Fair of Marion, Ohio, and Cheryl Warren of Summerville, South Carolina, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends; Johnny and Lori Osborne, Rick Bingley and Vicki Adams.
Tom was predeceased by step-father, Donald White, brother Danny Lehman and grandparents Willard and Effie Darnell.
Tom married Theresa (Bourque) Lehman on December 7, 1968. He then married Brenda (Johnson) Lehman on June 14, 2003.
Tom retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service. Tom held various other jobs, but most recently he worked and retired from St. Mary’s Catholic School and Church in Delaware, Ohio in June of 2010.
Tom was an avid bowler and loved camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Pamela and Rev. Gary Lamb Hart. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday February 25, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
