Ludie B. Middleton, 87, of Marion

Ludie B. MiddletonLudie B. Middleton, age 87 of Marion, OH, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1927 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Roland E. and Ludie Cook Jackson.

On February 27, 1946, she married John G. Middleton who survives.

Ludie was retired as custodian along with her husband at the Richland Road Church of Christ for 39 years.  She was also a member of the church. Ludie and John were involved in numerous activities at the church. She was also head cook in the food-prep area at Pleasant High School.

Ludie had a special Bible verse which she applied to her daily living and tried to pass on to the family over the years:  Philippians 4:13 which states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Besides her husband, John, Ludie is survived by two daughters and one son, Linda Kay (Douglas) Eader of Venice, FL, Norma J. (William) Combow of White House, TN, and Philip G. Middleton of Marion.  Also surviving are grandchildren:  Wendy Ronquillo and Julie Martin of Michigan, Sabrina Middleton of Marion, Gary Sparks of Michigan, and Matthew Middleton of Marion; great-grandchildren:  Lila and Halle Sparks, Kayla Martin, Lindsay Martin, Emily Martin, and Macey Ronquillo all of Michigan, Fayth Middleton of Marion, Bowen Sparks of Michigan, Malachai Middleton, Xavier Middleton, and Trey Middleton Ervin all of Marion.

Ludie also leaves behind a brother, Coolidge Jacfkson of Michigan, as well as nieces and nephews:  Sylvia Middleton Jewell of Marion, Delores and Diane Jackson both of Michigan, Karen Delamater of Colorado, Brenda Jackson of Ohio, Bill Middleton of Marion, Brian Jackson of Michigan, and David and Kenny Jackson, both of Ohio.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10AM at the Richland Road Church of Christ.  Officiating the service will be Russell Howard.  Burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2015 from 4-8PM.
