Otmer Dale Knotts age 85 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday April 16, 2015.
He was born January 14, 1930 in Millwood, W.Va. to the late Jennings and Essie Knotts.
He has been a resident of Marion, Ohio since 1968.
He retired from the U.S. Army with twenty years of service in 1968 and retired from the Whirlpool Corporation in 1995 with twenty-seven years of service.
Otmer is survived by a daughter, JacQueline M. Knotts of Texas, a grandaughter, Pamela M. (Knotts) Anderson and three great-grandchildren; Dallas, John, Jr., and Amenda Anderson. Also surviving are two sisters; Gretta Guilliam of Canton, Ohio, Ruthan Honeycutt of Marion, Ohio, and two brothers; Lloyd Wayne Knotts of Kentucky and Kenneth Knotts of Georgia. There are numerous nieces and nephews surviving as well.
Besides his parents, Otmer was preceded in death by three sisters; Wanda, Avelee, and Donna, and two brothers; Olan and Bobby.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doug Ford. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday April 20, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M.
