Patricia McLain, age 84 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, April 10, 2015 at the Kingston Residence of Marion.
Patricia was born on January 26, 1931 in Marion, the daughter of Carlos and Clara (Dutt) Tuttle and the younger sister of Dorothy (Tuttle) McCombs. Patricia was the valedictorian of the Class of 1949, graduating from Harpster High School. She worked at Columbia Gas, part-time at the Fairview Emanuel Baptist Church in Youngstown and was a devoted mother and homemaker.
On July 1, 1948, Patricia was united in marriage to Richard L. McLain in Marion, Ohio. Together they shared nearly 66 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on February 3, 2014.
Patricia was a true example of what love is. She had a special way of caring for and nurturing others. She had a compassionate heart and had the incredible ability to empathize with those who needed a listening ear.
She loved to garden and was proud of her beautiful roses. She enjoyed sewing, often having many projects going but it was hard to find the time to finish them all. Family was a blessing to her and baking with her family was a treat for everyone.
