Thomas E. Myers Jr. age 90 of Edison, Ohio formerly of Sarasota, FL for 41 years, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Heartland of Marion.
He was born May 1, 1924 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Thomas E. and Gladys M. (Mercer) Myers.
On February 3, 1946 he married Frances J. (Furniss).
Thomas was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII, a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ, started two Christian Churches in Sarasota, Masonic Lodge #447 in Caledonia, OH., he was employed at Sears&Roebuck in Florida for 15 years, construction and a realtor in Marion for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Frances J. Myers of Edison, OH., two daughters, Donna J. Myers of Marion, OH., Beverly S. (Cleve) Richardson of Wauchla, FL., two grandchildren, Lori Anne Richardson and Mary (Kenny) Walker, three great grandchildren, Trevor, Lawrence and Kordell, his brother, Donald Myers of Edison, OH. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Masonic Services at 7:45PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 @ 10AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery.
