Catherine M. “Kitty” Drake age 82 of Bucyrus, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at the Orchard Park Assisted living in Buryrus.
She was born February 17, 1933 in Marion to the late Harold and Vivian (Tewalt) Browning.
On June 3, 1949 in Greenup, Ky., she married Floyd E. Drake and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2007.
Catherine was a retired L.P.N. after thirty-three years. She retired from the former Community MedCenter Hospital.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Baptist Church, where in years past she was very active. Catherine loved to travel, read and enjoyed quilting. But, most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Catherine leaves behind three daughters; Cheryl (Gary) Kaple of Bucyrus, Ohio, Debra Hayes of Marion, Ohio, and Robin (Robin) Howard of Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosella Tedesco and a brother, George Harold Browning.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Floyd Radebaugh. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday two hours prior to the service from 10 to 12 Noon.
