Dan Tennar age 82 of Marion, Ohio passed away on April 29, 2015. On June 7, 1932.
Dan was born to Roscoe Eugene Tennar and Nancy Etta Bradley and was the brother of Anna Mae DeHaven, Roland “Bus” Tennar, John Bradley Tennar, and Randall ‘Randy” Eugene Tennar all of whom have preceded him in death.
Dan served in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic and is a Korean War Veteran.
Dan married Joyce Merlene Baumgardner on August 31, 1958. He is a beloved father of four kids, Sheryl (Terry) Hildreth, Kenneth (Kimberly) Tennar, Dawn (Jamie Felty) Tennar and Brett (Jennifer) Tennar; and eight grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Joshua, Emily, Brandon, Yasmine, Kayla and Michael and five great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
Dan was an Amateur Radio operator (Ham Radio) for 36 years. He loved hunting, fishing and shooting guns. He was a life member of the Meeker Sportsman Club. He loved John Wayne movies and Johnny Cash Music. He retired from BF Goodrich/ Parker Hannafin after 30 years of service and also worked at Idle-Hour sporting goods store.

Visitation for Dan will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2 – 5 PM and Monday, May 4, 2015 from 9 – 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10 AM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Tennar officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery.
