Della Mae Malone, age 93 of Marion, passed away on Monday May 25, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital.
Della was born on March 1, 1922, the daughter of Jeremiah L. and Ethel Otto (Oiler) Thacker.
Della was a devoted homemaker and her greatest joy was being with her family.
She will be missed by her children: Kirk W. (Pat) Malone, Jerry H. (Ann Gorley) Malone and Portia (Bob) Thompson; grandchildren: Curtis D. Malone, Johnny R. Coleman, Trisha K. Ridenouer, Heather, Crystal Malone, Jason Malone, Michael Malone and Robert “Bobby” Thompson; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and siblings: Clara Boots Shelton, Ruby Rhoad, Vella Yager and Terry Thacker.
Della is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marion Francis Malone; son Craig Malone; grandchildren: Scott Malone, Chad Malone and James M. Thompson and siblings: Elizabeth Ann, Freda, Betty J., Sadie, Jerry, Jesse, Henry, Leo, Dean, Roy, Paul and Ed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2015 at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home, 347 W. Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM with Pastor Russell Howard officiating; Burial will be in the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
