Joseph H. Crabtree age 69 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 28, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to the late Raymond Sinclair and Zelma (Dagy) Parker Crabtree.
On February 14, 1998 in Marion he married Evelyn M. Murphy and she survives.
Joseph was a retired truck driver for many years. He in his earlier years was a race car driver and enjoyed racing. He also enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, and camping. He was just an avid out doorsman. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a true family man.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind three daughters and four sons; Carole Conley, Tanya Wyatt, Thia Cook, Joseph Driskel, Bruce Driskel, all of Marion, Ohio, and Jesse Crabtree of Colorado, and Andrew Wyatt of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Twenty grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a brother, Ray Crabtree of Marion, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews survive as well.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, George Driskel and four sisters; Linda Johnson, Mitzi Sparks, Ruth Ann Crabtree, and Verna Jolliff.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Audie Murphy. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday May 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
