Robert L. Prouty, 78, passed away at his home in Marion.
Robert was born in Delaware, Ohio on April 14, 1937, the son of Lyle F. and Emily I.A. (Swearengin) Prouty. He worked as a machinist at Marion Power Shovel for over 40 years before his retirement.
He is survived by his children: Kathleen Prouty and Kimberly (Mike) Vance. Three grandchildren: Kayla Potts, Michael Potts and Kristin M. (Sanborn) Vance-Holmes also survive Robert.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Ashley D. Vance; and his brother, Lyle Eugene Prouty.
A Celebration of Life dinner will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 at The Warehouse, 320 W Center St, Marion at 4:30 p.m.
