Virginia L. Lafferty, 87, of Marion

Virginia L. Lafferty, age 87, of Marion, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at home.

Virginia was born March 18, 1928 in Meeker, OH to the late Chester A. Welsh and Mamie G. (Ours) Morgan.  She married Donald D. Lafferty on May 25, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1979.  Virginia retired from Quaker Oats in 1988 after 25 years of dedicated service.

Virginia is survived by sons, Steven A. (Linda) Lafferty, and Philip W. (Joann) Lafferty, daughter, Luella L. (Wayne) Clark all of Marion; sister, Arlene (John) Fridley of Woodstock, Il; 6 grandchildren; and 5 step-grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 10AM until a 12 noon service at Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
