Jack Chambers age 97 of New Bloomington, Ohio, passed away on Friday October 2, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 19, 1918 in Marion County to the late Gordo and Opal (Corey) Chambers.
On January 21, 1941 he married Doris Parker and she preceded him in death in April of 2004.
Jack was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Marion Senior Center, Mid Ohio Antique Farm Machinery Organization, the Oliver Collectors Association and the Green Camp Senior Cirizens. He was also a member of the Steam and Gas Organization.
Jack is survived by two daughters and a son; Barbara and Jody of Marion, Ohio, and Tom of New Bloomington, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Mary.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kathy Herr. Burial will follow in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday October 12, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
