Mary Frances Pratt, age 93 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning October 3, 2015 at her home.
Mary was born on November 23, 1921 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William A. and Marie (Meehan) Greene.
On November 24, 1942, Mary was united in marriage to Keith Pratt. They shared 66 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on December 14, 2008.
Mary was a devoted homemaker to her family, cooking and baking were her specialties. She was proud of her beautiful gardens and tended to them faithfully. Mary was also very involved, for many years, with the Girl Scouts and was a fine mentor to the girls. Mary had a fondness for archeology and enjoyed reading about ancient Egypt.
Mary will be dearly missed by her three sons: Michael, Patrick (Sue), and Rodney (Paula) of Caledonia; a daughter, Jean (Keith) Thomas; seven grandchildren: Aime (Chad) Bonsel, Krista Pratt, Audrey (Chad) Overmyer, Brian Pratt, Alexandra Van Hilten, Brittany (Mike) Oscarsson, and Katherine (fiancé Dustin Holbrook) Thomas; and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Keith Pratt and her parents.
The Pratt family will observe private services. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family asks memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
