Carol A. (Bryant) Emptage, age 54, of Prospect passed away November 6, 2015, at Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Carol was born in Marion County to Larry G. Bryant and Carolyn (Smith) Bryant. She graduated from Elgin High School / Tri-Rivers Career Center in 1979.
Carol is survived by her husband, Bret Emptage of 21 years, and her daughter, Caitlyn Emptage. Carol was preceded in death by a son, Stephen R. Ulery, and her parents, Larry and Carolyn Bryant.
Also surviving are three sisters: Cherie (Lew) Hilgenberg of Edison, Valerie (Dave) Curran of Caledonia and Shannon Bryant of Cincinnati. She is also survived by her mother-in-law of Marion, Inez Emptage, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol worked for 35 years at Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative, Inc. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and sister. Her family and friends always came first and foremost in her life. There are no words to describe Carol and what a wonderful and nurturing person that she was to all she came in contact. She loved nothing more in this world than her children, Stephen, and Caitlyn. Carol was a wonderful cook and will be missed by all of her great nieces and nephews for her pumpkin rolls and homemade noodles. She was an inspiration to all she touched and will forever be missed. She is now at peace and at home with the Lord.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 4-7 at the Boyd Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral will be at Crosswood United Methodist Church (1551 Richland Rd., Marion) on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10 am with the Reverend Joe Ziraldo officiating. Burial will follow at the Caledonia Cemetery.
The family is requesting donations be made in memory of Carol Emptage to the American Cancer Society.
