Dorothy Marie Croft, age 82 of Caledonia passed away Thursday morning November 5th, 2015 at her residence.
Dorothy was born March 11th, 1933 in Marion as the daughter of the late Henry VanVelerah and Clizzie Armeta.
On September 29th, 1956 she married John W. Croft. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Dorothy was faithful in her presence at Salem United Methodist Church as long as she was able. She had worked for many years as a nurses aide at Morrow County Hospital. At home she enjoyed her flower garden and keeping the weeds out of it. She also loved Gospel and Country Music.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Donald VanVelerah of Marion and Stanley Croft of Caledonia. Her daughter Johanna LaRoche of Centerville, Virginia also survives her. She also leaves behind two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services for Dorothy Croft will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday November 09th, 2015 in the Salem United Methodist Church. with Pastor Tom Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 4:30.
