Erma Fern Briner, 93, of Marion

Erma Fern Briner, age 93 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 4, 2015 at her home.

Fern was born on August 14, 1922 in Morral, the daughter of Clark and Nina Fern (Myers) Miller. She graduated from Morral High School. Fern worked for Fulfillment, Huber Company and the Marion Power Shovel.

She is survived by her children: Gloria Short of Marion, Diane (Bill) Cluff of Prospect and Robert (Jane) Briner of Thornton, California; grandchildren: Kim, Scott, Jill, Chris, Leslie and Allison; 6 great grandchildren; siblings: Grover (Mary June) Miller of Marion and Ruah(Lewis) Buckingham of Bowling Green and sister-in-laws: Mildred Woodrum and Mary Ellen Miller.

Fern is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert F. Briner; siblings: Oscar Miller, Gaylord Miller, Algea Chamberlain and Freda Chamberlain and son-in-law Harold Short.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 8, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 2PM to 4PM; Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 11AM with Pastor Ralph Velazco officiating; Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fern’s memory to Kindred at Home Hospice, 1199 Delaware Avenue, Marion.
