Grace M. Spears, age 85, of Marion, was reunited with her husband and children on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Marion, OH, on August 21, 1930, to the late Roland H. Anthony and Viola E. (Chuck) Draper.
Grace loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook with her specialty being turtle cakes. Grace also enjoyed reading her bible and listening to or watching Christian music and DVDs. She often put together puzzles, played cards, and enjoyed all kinds of flowers.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Carla (Art), Scott, Kelly, and Brandon (Alex); great-grandchildren: Cassy, Caitlyn, Payge, Raven, and Austyn; sisters: Beulah, Linda, Sharon, Darlene, and Fern; special niece and nephews: Roxanne, Jack (Michelle), and Dennis; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Spears; children: Lonnie, Charles Jr., Ronnie, and Pam; brothers: Lloyd, Robert, Mike, Gary, and Charles E.; and sisters: Garnett and Jane.
Her family will greet friends on Friday, November 6, 2015, from 10:30 to 11 AM at the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, 1419 Linn-Hipsher Rd, Marion, OH. A service celebrating her life will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Floyd Radebaugh officiating along with Ed Thompson. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
