On November 4th, 2015 in the early morning Mary L. Clarkson peacefully passed away.
Mary was born on September 21st, 1928 to Emmett Gary Ledford and his wife L. Frances in Oak Grove, Ky.
She married George W. Clarkson on January 4th, 1945 in Hopkinsville, Ky. When George was discharged from the Army in 1947, they moved to Marion Ohio bringing with them their only child Linda Lee.
Mary retired from Rinks Bargain City and K Mart, then worked at The Marion Flower Shop for 10 years after retirement.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist church for over 50 years. There after she was an active member of Crosswoods Methodist Church.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, George W. Clarkson and her great granddaughter Brooke Alexis Speaks.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter Linda Lee Stacy (Ira) and 3 grandchildren I. Clark Stacy (Joell), Deborah L. Speaks (Steve) and Tommy L. Stacy (Stacie) and 7 grandchildren: Haleigh J., I. Coby, Georgie R. Stacy, Zachary T. Speaks, Nicole L., Brandon P., and Hunter L. Stacy.
Friends may call at the Crosswoods Methodist Church 1551 Richland Road Marion, on Monday November 9, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate the funeral service in the church following the viewing hours with burial to follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
