Norma Ann Schnitzler, age 80 of Marion, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October, 31, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born June 7, 1935 in Marion to the late Winson and Martha (Long) Call.
On April 16, 1955 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio she married the late John E. “Jack” Schnitzler, who passed on October 18, 2014. Norma was a cook for the City Schools for 21 years and managed the Eagles Bingo for 35 years. Norma loved camping and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to hang out with her life-long friend, Marylin Gorrell.
She leaves behind a daughter, Lori (Steve) Freeman of Marion, Ohio; a son, Michael (Dianne) Schnitzler of Marion, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Terri Franko of LaRue, Ohio; a brother, Jerry (Dianna) Call, a sister, Susan (Michael) Lucas of Keller, TX; a brother-in-law, Ray Cramer; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a life-long friend, Marylin Gorrell.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory; two sisters, Rhonda Call and Linda Cramer.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Nathan R. McBeth. Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Marion County Humane Society and the Senior Services of Marion.
