Willard D. Russell, age 75, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, November 9, 2015.
Will was born July 22, 1940 to the late Frank Russell and the late Ethel Daniels in Ironton, Ohio.
He is survived by two sons, William (Brenda) Russell of Nevada, Ohio and David Russell (Edward Dickerson) of Marion; four grandchildren: Paige Russell, Marcus, Aaron, and Alyssa Cover of Nevada, Ohio; one sister, Mary Jane (Roger) Russell of New Castle, PA; and special cousins: Randy and Mark Summers of Marion.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Wendell Lawson, Raymond, Ron, Millard, and Bob Russell, Mike and John Fife, and Dukie Hall.
Willard was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at the former Tecumseh Products Co., drove Marion City buses for awhile, and retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 2009.
He enjoyed country music, watching westerns, especially Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, fishing, playing cards, watching sports and spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home starting at 4 PM to 5 PM. A Memorial Service will be at 5 PM following the calling hours.
