Gerald Schultz age 83 of Waldo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1932 in Waldo, Ohio to the late George and Helen (Taylor) Schultz.
On August 5, 1955 he married Bonita L. (Buxton) Schultz, she preceded him in death on December 6, 2012.
Gerald graduated from Waldo High School in 1950, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict on the U.S. Diphda and was a member of the American Legion Post #605 in Waldo. He was employed at the Marion Power Shovel as a vertical lathe operator for 50 plus years and involved in farming for many years.
He is survived by his children, Teresa (Charlie) Holladay of Belle Center, OH., Jerry (Holly) Schultz of Prospect, OH., DeAnna Nease of Marion, OH., Arlene Klingel of Marion, OH., 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 5 brothers, Dick (Barb) Schultz of Radnor, OH., Ronald (Judy) Schultz of Prospect, OH., Glen (Judy) Schultz of Richwood, OH., Larry (Cathy) Schultz of Richwood, OH., Wayne (Barb) Schultz of Richwood, OH., 3 sisters, Betty Pierce of Marion, OH., Carolyn Nunez of Indiana, Janet (Gene) Giley of Canton, OH., 2 sister in laws, Marie Schultz of Prospect, OH., Barb Schultz of Prospect, OH., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Junior Schultz.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 4 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 @ 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Geoff Schultz officiating.
