Jack Moore, age 71 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.
Jack was born on August 20, 1944 in Marion, the son of Russell F. and Rita (Albert) Moore. Jack was employed for 13 years at Erie Railroad and he also worked for 30 years at Whirlpool.
On June 6, 1964, Jack was united in marriage to Peggy A. Martin. Together they have shared 51 years of marriage.
Jack was an incredible provider for his family. He had a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like they had been friends with Jack for years. He had a great sense of humor and would do anything for anyone. Jack enjoyed spending countless hours working on cars. He was devoted to his family and loved going camping and having cookouts. Jack could also be found at the Harding basketball and football games, always supporting his grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife Peggy Moore; children: Jackie Moore, Jeff (Sally) Moore, Jennifer Ansley and Jodi Moore; grandchildren: Kelsey, Kaylee and Kindsey Hoffman, Levi (Kate) Ansley, Jesse Ansley and Allysa Stephens; great grandchildren: Rylan Aldridge and La’Naeah Huffman; siblings: Richard (Linda) Moore, Evelyn (John) Spires, Ruth (Virlyn) Kenner and Seirra Ballard; and sister-in-law Edith Moore.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Russell Moore and grandson Brandon Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 4PM to 6PM; Funeral services will immediately follow at 6PM with Celebrant Mark Schuring officiating.
