Maxine M. Burchett-Gibson, age 87, of Marion, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital.
Maxine was born on January 3, 1928 to the late Lawrence and Sadie (Lovell) Smith. She married the late George Burchett on January 29, 1944, who passed away on December 27, 1972 and married the late Dewey Gibson on April 7, 1979, who passed away on December 30, 1989.
Maxine was a member of the Victory Center Church of God of Marion. She worked in the kitchen of the Marion General Hospital for 7 years. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son: Gary Kinyon Burchett; five sisters: Baby Smith, Fern Roberts, Dorothy Ledbetter, Ginger Myer and Betty Jean Smith.
Maxine is survived by three daughters: Jeanie (Jerry) Green of Prospect, OH, Ellen Gregg of Marion, Connie (Michael) Ring of Marion; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are grandsons Jerry Lee Green, Jr., Richy Green, Kasey Green, Willie Lindsay and great grandsons Zach Green and Jessie Green, and son-in law, Mike Ring.
Visitation will be held at the Victory Center Church of God on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 starting at 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral service will be at 1 PM following visitation.
