Priscilla Ann (Robb) McGinnis, age 79, of Marion, peacefully passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Heartland of Marion.
Priscilla was born April, 11, 1936 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Donald Trabue and Ruth Lynette (Dougherty) Robb.
She resided in New Jersey for most of her childhood. Priscilla graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Science.
While attending college, she met her soon to be husband. She married Richard J. McGinnis on June 15, 1957; who preceded her in death on April 30, 1994.
She was the co-owner of The Paint Bucket for 12 years with her husband.
A woman of faith, Priscilla was a long time member of The Mount Vernon East Church of Christ of Marion. She had been the Past Worthy High Priestess of the Marion White Shrine Number 15 and Past Worthy Matron of Lydia Chapter No. 83 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member P.E.O Sisterhood-Chapter DT for over fifty years and was a volunteer at Marion General Hospital for many years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with their family via their Cessna airplane, which they both piloted, and via their classic Superior motor home. Through her many travels, she had visited all but one of the lower 48 states.
Priscilla was a gentle, kind and loving Mother and Grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Priscilla is survived by a son: James E. McGinnis, of Tampa, Fl.; a daughter: Cheryl (Phillip S.) McCann of Marion and three Grandsons: James E. McGinnis Jr., Austin McCann and Brandon McCann, all of Marion.
Priscilla was predeceased by daughter, Ruth Ann McGinnis and brother, Charles Robb.
The Family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at Heartland of Marion for their exceptional and tender care of Priscilla.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home from 5 pm until 7 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm with Pastor Mark Schuring officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Grove Cemetery in Caldwell, Ohio on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Priscilla’s honor to The American Alzheimer’s Association.
