Robert Allen Ashworth, age 62, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 9:30 AM at his residence.
He was born on October 3, 1953 in Marion, Ohio to the late Clyde R. and Emma “Winnie” (Rose) Ashworth.
Robert married the former Sarah A. Greer in Marion on March 28, 1975 and she survives.
Bob graduated from Marion Harding High School. He was an avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, shooting, and flying RC airplanes. He was employed for many years as a certified welder with General Casting in Delaware, Ohio and the Union Tank Car Co. in Marion.
He is survived by his wife; Sarah, four daughters; Gail Lynn (Darrell) Glick of Byhalia, OH., Tina (Ted) Tennar of Waldo, OH., Karen (Rob) McVay of Caledonia, OH., & Alma (Von) Beal of Richwood, OH., a sister; Sharon (Mike) Smith of Marion, OH., 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a son; Paul Leroy Spicer.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Rev. Floyd Radebaugh will conduct the funeral service on Monday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Agosta Cemetery.
