Shirley Ann Huckaba, 77, of Richwood

Shirley Ann HuckabaShirley Ann Huckaba, 77 of Richwood died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Heartland of Marion.  She was born March 30, 1938 in Marion to Burton E. and Lucille Frances (Boyd) Grogg.

On June 2, 1956 she married Robert Aron Huckaba in Richmond, Indiana and he survives in Richwood.

She loved her grandkids and enjoyed tea parties in the gazebo and playing in the leaves in the fall with them.  Shirley enjoyed flowers and flower gardening and doing oil paintings.  She loved to bake and share cookies and goodies and enjoyed dinners out and playing games with friends. Shirley cherished her golf cart rides to the woods with Robert. Christmas was her favorite time of year.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Lucille Grogg, Marion; four children, Carl (Patty) Huckaba, Belleview, Fla.; Susan (Eric) Warner, Richwood; Lora (Denny) Ledley, Richwood and Mike (Tami) Huckaba, Richwood; ten grandchildren, Alison (Billy) Mount, Robert M. (Renee) Warner, Jessee Ledley, Malissa Ledley, Torrie Ledley, Wade Modrall, Morgan Turrill, Ashden Turrill, Guisella Hernandez and Morgan Hefenieder; four great grandchildren, Aron M. Warner, Austin Vance, Jeremy Ridenbaugh and Kendall Koch.

Brothers and sisters: Ray (Sandy) Grogg, Marion, Neva (John) Heacock, Cardington, Jack (Pat) Grogg, Casa Grande Arizona and Cheryl (Rick) Shockey, Campton, Kentucky.

She was predeceased by her father, one son: Robert D. Huckaba and one brother: Ralph Grogg.

In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Public graveside services will be held Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Byhalia Cemetery, Pastor Andy Stahler will officiate.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family.
