Glenn V. Chard age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Genesis Presidential Center.
He was born September 27, 1927 in Green Camp, Ohio to the late Ralph and Bessie (Flinchbaugh) Chard.
On February 16, 1946 he married Marjorie June (Honbeck) Chard, she preceded him in death on August 21, 2015. Glenn was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, was employed at GTE for 37 years as a switch worker until his retirement in 1987.
Glenn is survived by his children, Tracey (Stan) Armstrong of Byhalia, Mississippi, Nancy Spriggs of Marion, Ohio, Danny (Debra) Chard of Edison, Ohio, Delbert Chard of Marion, Ohio, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, his nephew, Mike Chard of St.Louis, Missouri and his niece, Sandy Parker of St.Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother, Harry L. Chard.
Visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10 AM at the John C.
