Jane Fetter, age 87 of Marion, passed away on Thursday December 31, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital.
Jane was born on August 28, 1928 in Marion, the daughter of Seth Edward and LaVinia Mae (Doyle) Moore. She was a graduate of Edison High School.
On April 2, 1948, Jane was united in marriage to Frederick “Leroy” Fetter. Together they shared 59 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on June 18, 2007.
Jane had the heart of a servant and a great love for all people. She was never too busy to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a tremendous zest for life accompanied by her energetic personality. She was a regal woman, never leaving the house without looking her very best. Shopping was Jane’s outlet for enjoyment. She would shop until she couldn’t shop anymore, always looking for that next garage sale to peruse. Above all, Jane was completely devoted to her family and cherished them very much.
Jane is survived by her children: Susan Linn (Ken) Thibaut and Steven Kent Fetter; grandchildren: Jay (Cindy) Thibaut, Troy (Toni) Thibaut, Bradley Fetter and Randy (Michelle) Fetter; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and siblings: Donald Moore, Guy Piazza and Delores Ritz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy Fetter; infant son Larry Leroy Fetter and siblings: Gene Moore, Edward Moore and Theodore Moore.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 7, 2016 at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be Friday at the funeral home at 11AM with Ken Thibaut officiating; Burial will be held privately in Marion Cemetery.
