Janice Marie Johnson, 66, of Marion

Janice Marie JohnsonJanice Marie Johnson age 66 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 1, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 31, 1949 in Marion to the late Roy Otto and Opal Louise Blair.

Janice was a homemaker and raised and cared for her family with the utmost care and love any one could. She was a lovingĀ  mother, grandmother, and sister, and her brother Leo was very special to her, and she was his true caregiver throughout his life. Her family was her world and the friends she made over the years were also special to her.

She leaves behind a host of family; two sons, Ron A. (Mary C.) Johnson, Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Brian K. (April Coons) of Marion, Ohio, four granddaughters; Shantel Johnson, Misty Barry, Brianna Johnson, and Alexis Johnson all of Marion, Ohio, six grandsons; Ronald A. (Patricia) Johnson,III, Kyle (Mollie) Johnson, Max Barry, Brian Johnson,II, all of Marion, Ohio, Lonnie (Lexi) Johnson of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Angus Johnson of Marion, Ohio. There are three great granddaughters surviving; Shaelynn Ross, Aurora Johnson, and Iceeonna Barry. Also surviving is one sister, Freida (Tom) Eckard of Marion, Ohio, and five brothers; LeRoy (Norma) Blair of Texas, Darryl Blair of Florida, Tim (Peg) Blair of Marion, Ohio, Leo Blair of Marion, Ohio, and Dwayne Blair of Marion, Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews survive also.

Besides her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Barry, Marion, two sisters; Rose (LeRoy) Christian, Marion, Shirley (Bill) Waddell, Marion, and three brothers; Jimmy Blair, Marion, Kenny Blair, Florida, and Bobby (Marie) Blair, Marion.

Funeral services will be on Friday January 8, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the Fairpark Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Rev. David Lippert. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday January 7, 2016 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
