Linda Darlene Messmer, age 66, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Genesis Presidential Care Center. She was born September 26, 1929 in Marion, Ohio, to the late John and Priscilla (Woods) Harris.
On July 27, 1974, she married Myron Joseph Messmer. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1993.
Linda was a member of True Life Church, Marion Moose Lodge #889, Citizens Police AAA, American Legion Post 162, and the Eagles in Upper Sandusky. She was employed for several years as a secretary at Bauldauf Construction.
She is survived by her son John (Katie) Messmer of Marion, Ohio, and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11 AM @ the John C. Boler Center, 590 Forest Lawn Dr., with Pastor Brett Gleespen officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.
