Lucille Marie Bowen Dial HaleLucille Marie Bowen Dial Hale, age 88, of Marion died on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Delaware Court Healthcare Facility surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 10, 1928 to the late Frank and Minnie (Jones) Bowen. She is preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Donald Bowen, a sister: Ruth Pyles, and a son John Hale.

She had been a member of the DAR, VFW Post 7201, American Legion Post 584, Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge.

She was employed at the Harding Hotel, various retail stores and restaurants.  She also worked for ARA and Sanese vending and food service companies at the Ohio State University, Marion Branch, where she enjoyed cooking for all of her “kids”.

Lucille is survived by one son: Steve (Pam) Dial of Tampa, FL; three daughters: Linda Dowalter of Caledonia, OH, Nancy (Allan) DeLoye of Reynoldsburg, OH and Sandy (Richard) Lust of Marion, OH;  twelve grandchildren: Steve (Jess) Dial, Jamie Dial, Amy (Todd) Carpenter, Christopher (Sarah) Pinnick, Autumn (Cody) Cline, Kevin DeLoye, Chantel Godfrey, Joseph Hale, April (Andy) Horne, Tyler (Bethany Bridenstine) Lust, Sierra Lust and Alden Lust; sixteen great-grandchildren: Jacob, Lily and Caylee Dial, Chelsea (Corey) Prosser, Curtis (Cornelia) Carpenter, Christopher, Donovan, and Lilly Pinnick, McAilah and Brycen Spaulding, Peyton Cline, Haley, Destany, and Chloe Godfrey, Collin and Caden Horne; and one great-great grandchild: Sophia Carpenter.

Lucille has always enjoyed her regular visits with her niece Sherry Bargar of Marion, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO) in the name of Team Perfect CADENce.  Donations can be mailed to DSACO, 510 East North Broadway Columbus, OH  43214.

Visitation will be held at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21, 2016 starting at 5pm to 7pm.  Funeral service will be held at the Fite Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10am.  Burial will follow service at the Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.
