Miriam M. Heisel age 87 of New Bloomington, Ohio passed away Monday, January 11, 2016.
She was born January 7, 1929 in Marion, Ohio to the late John T. Merchant and Frances (Paddock) Merchant-Sullivan.
On February 14, 1951 she married Richard Dwight Heisel, he preceded her in death on June 26, 2011.
Miriam was a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was involved in the Noren Circle. She was employed at Meijer for 10 plus years. In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing euchre, pinochle, board games and needle point.
She is survived by her sons, Dwight Richard Heisel II of Caledonia, OH., John Drew Heisel of Morral, OH., Dirk Matthew Heisel of New Bloomington, OH., Dana Jaye Heisel of Columbus, OH., her two brothers, Larry (Elaine) Merchant of Marion, OH., David (Carol) Merchant of Lebanon, OH., sister in law, Tricia Merchant of North Canton, OH., sister in law, Margene Maynard of Morral, OH., brother in law, James Heisel of Marion, OH., numerous nieces and nephews.
Miriam was preceded in death by her father and step mother, John & Louise Merchant, her mother and step father, Frances & John Sullivan, her brother, Richard Merchant and her sister, Marilyn Merchant.
Visitation will held Friday, January 15, 2016 from 12 – 1 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 930 Harding Memorial Parkway, Marion, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1PM with Rev Craig Lewis officiating. Burial will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
