Philip Alan McCombs, age 62, of Waldo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 5:34 AM from the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on March 14, 1953 to the late Everet M. and Mary (Anthony) McCombs.
Philip married the former Vicki L. Scheff in Marion, Ohio on May 23, 1987 and she survives in Waldo.
He was a member of the Central Baptist Church where he held many positions in the church. Philip was employed as a welder for 10 years with the Marion Power Shovel and later worked for 13 years with Worthington Foods as a retort operator.
He is survived by his wife; Vicki, a son; Jeremy McCombs of Marion, OH., two sisters; Bunny Monahan & Tina Swearingen both of Marion, OH., and three grandchildren; Matthew, Madison, & Macy McCombs.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were a brother; Ricky McCombs and a sister; Susan Starcher.
Friends may call at the Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion-Waldo Rd., Marion from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Strothers will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, following visitation at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Waldo Cemetery.
