Jack Eugene Orr passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
Jack was born December 28, 1932 to the late Ruth (Eblen) and Lovell Orr of Marion.
He served in the army in the Korean War. He retired from Goodrich Parker Hannifin after 40 plus years.
He was married on June 26, 197 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Norma J. (Higley) Orr for 55 years.
He is survived by one daughter: Diana (Daniel) Smith of Marion. He will also be dearly missed by four grandchildren: Tracy (Matt) Johnson of Marion, Kristy Smith of Mt. Gilead, Dane Smith of Marion, Brandi Smith of Marion and five great-grandchildren: Austin, Aiden and Alexis Raby and Lane and Kinley Johnson whom he loved very much.
He is also survived by two brothers: Bert (Betty) Orr and Charles Orr of Marion and one sister: Shirely (Denny) Colburn of Gallipolis, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters: Mary Finch, Donna Orr, Virginia Estes, Wanda Edington and Barbara Judy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 starting at 12 pm to 1 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. Funeral service will be held after visitation starting at 1 pm officiated by Rev. Denny Colburn. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Marion Cemetery.
