Finley Ray Cole age 65 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday February 19, 2016 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born January 1, 1951 in Salyersville, Ky. to the late Lucas and Jessie (Gipson) Cole.
On August 20, 1969, he married Peggy Welch and she survives him.
Finley was employed with MidWest Express in East Liberty, Ohio.
Finley was a huge University of Kentucky Basketball fan, a sports fan in general, he loved to fish, was a big family man, and was a giving, selfless individual.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons; James (Paula) Cole, Anthony Cole, Jeff (Janette) Cole, Mark (Amber) Cole, and Matthew (Jamie) Cole. Sixteen grandchildren survive as well as three sisters and a brother; Dottie Caldwell, Helen Pennington, Katherine Salyers, and James Austin Cole.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, two sisters, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the John C. Boler Center, 590 Forest Lawn Dr., Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be William Paul Perkins. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday February 24, 2016 from 5 to 9 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10 to 11 A.M.
