Charles W. Sisson, age 78, of Marion passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 3:50 PM in the Kindred Nursing Community.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on June 2, 1937 to the late Oscar and Lenora (Conkle) Sisson.
Charles married the former Betty J. Honaker on September 6, 1958 in Marion and she preceded him in death on January 28, 1998 in Marion.
He was a 1955 graduate of Harding High School and a member of the League of Postmasters. Charles was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years and retired as a Postmaster in 2010.
The lifelong Marion area resident is survived by a son; Charles M. Sisson of North Robinson, OH., three daughters; Tracey (Chris Hulls) Sisson of Marion, OH., Pam (Lionel) De Souza of Cardington, OH., & Cynthia (Jeff) Himler of Raymond, OH., two sisters; Charlotte (Fred) Blanton of Marion, OH. & Carol (Mike) Fout of Doylestown, OH., a sister-in-law; Susan Sisson of Marion, OH., and six grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Betty, one grandchild, one sister; Vivian Guyton, and two brothers; Leroy Sisson & Oscar Sisson Jr.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2016, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the Boler Activity Center, 920 Forest Lawn Dr., Marion on Tuesday, March 15th, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Green Camp Cemetery.
