James W. Potter, age 73, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Dewolfe House.
On November 5, 1942, he was born to the late Enos and Dorotha (Latta) Potter, and on December 14, 1975, he married Kathy Reynolds.
For 25 years, he was employed at Whirlpool as a security guard. He served in the Air Force, and he attended the Oakland Church.
He is survived by his sons Vance (Korene) Potter of Marion, Ohio, and Douglas Vaughn Potter of North Carolina; his grandchildren Zachary Isaac Potter, Andrew Vance Potter, Tara Trinidad, Douglas James, and Joseph Potter; and his great-grandchildren Lenox, Christina, Benjamin, and Chevy. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Potter and one brother.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5 PM to 6 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 6 PM. Burial will follow at a later date at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
