Ruth A. Rowland, age 92 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Kindred Community of Marion.
Ruth was born on August 16, 1923 in Marion, the daughter of Erastus and Lois R. (Piper) Young. Ruth was a hard worker that always made sure her family was provided for. She was retired from Marion General Hospital.
Ruth is survived by her children: Patricia (Alfred) Walter, Paul R. (Viola) Rowland and Lois Huffman; 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and her brother Harold (Marie) Young.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law Francis Huffman; siblings: Ralph Young, Charles Young, Tom Young, Edward Young, Millie Roberts, Mary Fry, Richard and Edith Young along with a set of stillborn twins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held Saturday at the funeral home at 11AM with Pastor Mark Schuring officiating; Burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
