Mary Jo Baker age 83 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born January 7, 1933 in Marion, Ohio to the late Clarence Alven and Marjorie Anna (Jones) Myers.
On February 12, 1954 she married Gaile A. Baker Jr.
Mary Jo was employed at Marion County Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for 20 plus years as a case worker. She was a member of Genealogic Society, Waldo Mothers Club and Marion Harding Class of 1951.
She is survived by her husband, Gaile Baker Jr. of Marion, OH., her son, K. Scott (Cindi) Baker of Galena, OH., daughters, Kathi (Bruce) Holmes of Grove City, OH., Sharon “Shay” Baker of Marion, OH., Laurie Baker of Powell, OH., three grandchildren, Cassie Baker, Samantha Baker, Colleen (Jeff) Watkins, three great grandchildren, Cameron Watkins, Carson Watkins and Colten Watkins.
Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home from 10 – 12 PM with funeral services to follow at 12 noon with Pastor Joseph Sopher officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
