Raymond Guy LeVeck, 83, of Marion

Raymond Guy LeVeckRaymond Guy LeVeck, age 83, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

On September 7, 1932, he was born to the late Raymond and Florence (Chappell) LeVeck in Milford Center, and on May 1, 1992, he married Judy Dillinger. Previously, he was married to Shirley A. (Hooker) LeVeck, who preceded him in death in 1989.

Raymond graduated from the Allied Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree, and he later retired from his engineering career after working for the Fairfield Engineering Company for 50+ years. He served his country with pride in the US Navy, and he served from December 18, 1951 to December 12, 1955 before his honorable discharge. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his ducks, and he was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He will always be remembered for his generosity and his love for his family, and no one could beat him at Euchre.

He is survived by his wife Judy; his daughters Cheryl A. (Thomas) Smith and Carol L. (Mike) Gordon of Marion; his step-daughter Angela (Dan) Price of Miamisburg; his step-son Tim (Sue) Smiley of Germantown; and his grandchildren Michaela Gordon, Nate Gordon, Alec Gordon, and Emily Price.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Shirley, two brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12 PM. Burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery.
