William James “Jim” Haubert, 70, of Marion

William James “Jim” HaubertWilliam James “Jim” Haubert, age 70 of Marion, passed away at his home on Thursday April 28, 2016.

Jim was born on November 13, 1945 in Marion, the son of the late William “Bill” and Ruth (Stumbo) Haubert. He graduated from Marion Catholic High School and attended Kent State. Jim worked as a realtor for many years, owning Lincoln Realty in Marion. He was a past president of the Marion Board of Realtors.

Jim enjoyed being outdoors. He liked to go fishing, hunting and also spent time on the golf course. He was an avid Ohio State University sports fan and he loved cheering on the Cleveland Indians. Jim was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge of Marion.

He is survived by his children: Eric (Kristen Winters) Haubert, Darrin (Katie Rychener) Haubert and Sara (Rob) Terry; grandchildren: Maribella and Maddie Haubert, Henry and Jack Terry and Charlie Haubert; siblings: Mark (Kay) Haubert and Becky (Jay) Dilley.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 at Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 251 North Main St., Marion at 10AM with Fr. Thomas Buffer officiating; Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ohio Health Hospice.
