Caroline Jane Malone, 67, formerly of Marion

Caroline Jane MaloneCaroline Jane Malone, age 67, formerly of Marion passed away Thursday June 23, 2016 at the North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida.

Caroline was born in Marion on Tuesday August 3, 1948 to the late Lester and Ivareen (Matteson) Beltz.  She was one of ten children.

Caroline graduated from Elgin High School in the class of 1966.  After high school she married the love of her life, Sanford Malone Jr… Together they raised 2 wonderful children, Travis and Tammy.  Sanford went on to prepare their heavenly home in 1991.

She was a lifetime homemaker and enjoyed the hard work that it required.  She was able to be there and tend to her children and watch them grow.  Even though raising children and running a house could be challenging at times, Caroline wouldn’t have had it any other way. She would never complain about anything, in fact if Caroline was under the weather and not feeling well, you would not even know it.  She would make sure you were taken care of before worrying about herself.

Being a true woman of faith Caroline had a strong belief in the power of prayer.  She would talk to her Lord every chance she got.  Caroline knew that he would take care of her and lead her down the right path.

In her down time she enjoyed reading and crocheting.  Caroline looked forward to any gatherings where she could spend time with family and friends.  She had the ability turn any frown upside down into a smile.  She loved surprising people and being surprised herself.  Above all she adored her grandchildren and all the memories made with them and her children.

Caroline will be dearly missed by her children Travis (Hannah) Malone and Tammy (John Matthew) Neville; grandchildren David and Cheyenne Tillman; brothers Paul (Peggy) Beltz, Sam (Marilyn) Beltz,  and Ray (Blanch) Beltz; In-Laws Susan McAvoy, Don (Terri Lynn) Carlisle, George (Helen) Malone, Dennis (Rita) Long, Tammy Beltz, Carol Beltz, and Floyd Thomas Higgins, and many nieces and nephews.

She was met at Heavens gates by her parents, loving husband, an infant grand baby, brothers David, Albert, Bill, Milford, Lester and sister Maud Higgins

Caroline’s family will greet friends on Friday July 1, 2016 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home 347 West Center Street, Marion Ohio.  A graveside service will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery at 1:30pm with Rev Billy Ray McCoy officiating.

In lieu of flowers Caroline’s family asks that donations to be made to the funeral home for assistance in final expenses.
