Wayne Franklin Rapp, age 69 of Marion, passed away on Monday June 13, 2016 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born on July 8, 1946 to the late Harlan T. and Bess L. (Harrison) Rapp in Marion, OH. On November 8, 1975, Wayne married Barbara (Castle).
Wayne proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He retired after 45 years working at Whirlpool Inc. as an Engineer.
He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Nann Loyer and Kathryn Burgraff.
Wayne is survived by his wife: Barbara Rapp; one daughter: Shawn Marks of Hillman, MI; one son: Todd Marks of Marion, OH; three sisters: Mary (Richard) Jones of Melbourne, FL, Linda (Richard) Ricker of Indianapolis, IN and Ann (Richard) Henderson of Gahanna, OH; four brothers: Robert (Elaine) Dykes of Melbourne, FL, Ralph (Carlyn) Rapp of Marion, OH, David (Diane) Rapp of Hamilton, OH and John (Pat) Rapp of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 16, 2016 starting at 4pm to 6pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow visitation starting at 6pm with Rev. Dr. Steven Roper will be officiating.
