David E. Kaser, age 72, of Marion passed away Thursday July 21 at Morning View Pointe in Marion.
David was the youngest of three children. He was born on Sunday December 19, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Ethel Kaser.
He attended Newark High School where he graduated in the class of 1962. David went on to become a mechanical engineer for General Casting and later Sypress where he worked full-time until he became ill in 2005.
In 1982 David married Payom Tepkeeree. Together they raised two wonderful children. They spent many years together making memories until David’s health began to fail.
Before David became ill he was a member of the local Moose Lodge. You could also find him at the local flea market on the weekend selling little treasurers at his booth. In his spare time he enjoyed taking the family boat out and fishing. He loved his sports, especially football, and would take pride in managing the football brackets at work. If he was relaxing you would often find him working on a crossword puzzle.
David will be dearly missed by his daughters Cristina (DJ) Winn and Jen (Josh Gilbert) Kaser; grandchildren Leila, Keara, Declan, Conner, Claira, Rylee, and sister Sabra.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Kaser.
David’s family will greet friends on Monday July 25, 2016 from noon to 1pm at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home 347 West Center Street, Marion Ohio. An open Mic celebration of his life will follow.
