Beverly A. Shane, age 78, of Marion passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 11:39 AM in the Marion General Hospital.
She was born in Findlay, Ohio on April 16, 1938 to the late Carl and Margaret (Simpson) Kistler. Her stepmother; Leola Kistler also preceded her in death.
Beverly married Gabriel R. Shane in Findlay, OH. on June 17, 1956 and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1999 in Delaware, OH.
She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church, the Marion Senior Center and the Women of the Moose. Bev was employed with the Marion Star for 28 years as an accountant before her retirement.
Surviving are a son; Gerald R. Shane of Marion, OH., two daughters; Debra S. (Robert) Egg of Pismo Beach, CA. & Linda S. Jevrem of Marion, OH., a sister; Rosalyn M. (Larry) Dible of Carey, OH., and two granddaughters; Ashley Jevrem & Erika Egg. She was preceded in death by a sister; Carol Kistler.
Calling hours will be held in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Monday, December 12th from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Rev. Nathan McBeth will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13th at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
