Henry W. Black III of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday December 8, 2016 at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1947 in Marion to the late Henry and Mildred Black.
Henry worked for fifteen years at the former Marion Power Shovel Company and also for twenty-two years at Whirlpool Corporation where he retired from in 2009.
He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, class of 1967, was a past Commander of the American Legion, post # 584, and was a member of the American Motorcycle Association.
Henry leaves behind three sons; David Black of Marion, Ohio, Scott Black of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ralph (Brittany) Black, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also, six grandchildren survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jean Phesant.
Funeral services for Henry will be on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dwight Hord. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 11A.M. to 1P.M.
