Betty A ShuckBetty A Shuck, 91, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Heartland of Marion. She was born December 15, 1925 in North Robinson, Ohio, daughter of the late Sam and Hazel Dinkel.

Betty was a graduate of North Robinson High School. Betty was a long time member of Prospect Street United Methodist Church in Marion and loyal member of the Hilda Wise Circle. Betty was homemaker for the early lives of her three children, however worked for the Spiegel and JC Penney catalog stores and retired at Nu Supply Store in Marion. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, relaxing at Port Clinton, on Lake Erie, and sharing time with her church and personal friends. Betty and her Husband, Charles, married in 1945, spending their working lives in Marion and their retirement years splitting time, 18 years, between their homes in Ellington Florida and Marion.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Charles A Shuck, 2006, daughter Jean A (Shuck) Kadel, 2015. Betty is survived by her two sons, Douglas L Shuck (Sandy Louck) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Charles A Shuck (Juanita Beal) of Marion, Ohio, her brother, Joe (Barb) Dinkel of Mansfield, Oh., five grandchildren, Dina G Leader, Lindsay K Shuck, Dr. Andrea Shuck, David Shuck, and Melissa Bair, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Jeanette Dinkel, sisters, Martha (Bud) Hall and Marjorie (Edward) Wagner.

Friends will be received from 2:00-5:00PM Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 West Columbia Street, Marion, Ohio, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 11, 2017. Interment will be held privately at the Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus, Ohio.
