Jimmy L. Goble, age 76 of Marion, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, February 5, 2018. On August 6, 1941, he was born to the late Beckham and Mindy (Moore) Goble in Floyd County, KY, and on August 24, 1963, he married his wife Linda (Dutton) Goble, who still survives in Marion.
Jimmy spent 25 years repairing cars at Union Tank Car and prior to his Union Tank Car employment, he worked 15 years at Armco Steel Company. He was a long-time member of the White Oaks Rd. Freewill Baptist Church. Jimmy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his wife Linda; his sons James (Rebecca) Goble of Sycamore, Ohio, and Brent (Pamela) Goble of Marion; his siblings Carl (Bobbie) Goble of Norwalk, Ohio, Kenny (Geraldine) Goble of Barnsville, Ohio; Art (Mary) Goble of Norwalk, Ohio, Doug (Mary) Goble of Cullman, Alabama, and Helene (Lawrence) Lawhun of Fallmouth, Kentucky; his grandchildren John Goble, Richard Goble, Steven Goble, and Kristen Blanton; and his great-grandchildren Abrielle Goble, Rhosabella Goble and Paige Goble, Bree Goble, and Kaysen Galbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Beckham and Mindy Goble,his daughter: Latonia Goble, his brothers: Jack and Clarence Goble and his sisters: Christine Davis, Moverine Lewis, Clora Trosech, and Katherine Durfee.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11 AM at the White Oaks Rd. Freewill Baptist Church, 1859 White Oaks Rd., Marion, Ohio. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
