Charles William Davis, age 93, of Marion passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 5:06 PM in the Marion General Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1925 in Holly Grove, West Virginia to Charlie and Sally (Chris) Davis.
On August 9, 1963, Charles married Patricia Ann Miller in Marion, Ohio and she survives.
He served in the U.S.Navy during WWII and was a member of the American Legion. Charles was employed for 24 years with the Tecumseh Products Co. until there closing in 1984 and then went on to work at the YMCA for 10 years as a maintenance man.
Surviving along with his wife; Patricia are a son; Charles Edward (Jennifer Ann) Davis of Lykens, OH., a stepson; LeRoy Q. Miller of Arizona, a brother; Jerry Davis of Alabama, and 2 sisters; Fay Kincaid of Richwood, OH. & Doris Legg of Sandusky, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Edward Ray Davis and 2 sisters; Ada Jane Davis & Loretta Kincaid.
Calling hours will be held in the Fair Park Community Baptist Church, 940 Bermuda Dr., Marion, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Pastor Ronald Sanderson will conduct the service in the church on Friday at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.
